Picture this bright future: Farmers large and small, commodity groups, conservationists, government agencies, university researchers, federal funders and private philanthropies all agreeing on one thing. And that one thing is how you can practice agriculture while reducing environmental impact, improving water quality, protecting wildlife and producing alternative energy.

National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture(NMSA) has been made operational from the current fiscal under which schemes of Integrated Farming System (IFS) have been approved in which activities like horticulture, livestock, fishery, agroforestry, value addition are to be taken up along with crops/cropping system. Encouragement to Industry and Trade: Katupalli Sea Port in Tamil Nadu and Cochin Airport notified as import entry points for plants and plant materials.
Upon request of the regulated seed industry, the Wyoming Crop Improvement Association; Wyoming State Seed Lab; Wyoming Department of Agriculture; and Board of Agriculture were requested to amend Chapter 51, Regulations Pertaining to Seed Law.ÂÂ These changes are being proposed to clarify regulations and to bring the regulations closer to conformance with current industry practices.
Crop demonstration of stress tolerant varieties of rice have been taken up in 10 thousand hectares in areas affected by drought, flood and salinity with assistance of IRRI, an international institution. Titus Awokuse has been named to the 14-member Nigerian National Agricultural Policy Committee to help the country develop a strong policy roadmap and advise its agriculture ministry.
